Sacha Jafri explains what inspired the ground-breaking tryptic series

Artistic Philosophy

A fusion of Eastern and Western traditions — what Jafri calls Magical Realism

Jafri's practice transcends traditional boundaries, weaving abstract expressionism with Islamic geometric patterns and contemporary pop-culture iconography into a singular visual language.

Educated at Oxford University — where he studied art history, literature, philosophy, and classical literature alongside his painting practice — Jafri draws on Kafka, Rumi, and the Existentialists. Each painting functions as both aesthetic experience and philosophical inquiry.

His work addresses humanity's most profound questions: identity, connection, transformation, and the search for meaning in a fragmented world.
