Artistic Process & Vision
Vibrant colour, layered surfaces, and a distinctive visual language
Lhouette (b. Ciárán Robinson) is one of the UK’s leading urban pop artists, known for bold, high-energy works that combine raw and refined materials. Since gaining recognition in 2012, he has been represented by leading galleries across the UK, building a strong and ever growing base of contemporary collectors.
Lhouette’s creative process often begins with a single theme, shape, or motif, evolving into dynamic, multi-layered compositions. His practice incorporates a wide range of mixed media techniques, including aerosol, heavy-body acrylics, collage print, metallic gilding, resin, diamond dust, stencil work, wood and bronze sculpture.
His work draws on (but is not limited to) pop culture, consumerism, and contemporary symbolism, creating compositions that sit between cultural commentary and visual impact. The result is a balance between immediacy and finish, combining the raw and refined.
